Description

An otherwise forgettable TV-cop drama featuring former “Miami Vice” show star Don Johnson is notable for two things: the scene-stealing Cheech Marin (of Cheech and Chong fame); and the High Impact Yellow 1971 Hemicuda convertible. Apparently, due to the scarcity of ’71 cars (all high-dollar collectors items), the producers substituted ’70 models that were made up to look like the ’71 models, and dressed them up to look like the Hemicuda cars. In fact, none of cars used in the series actually contained the 426 Hemi engine. Why the ‘Cuda? It was at Johnson’s insistence.
