Story Intro
Unlike the Ioniq and the Kona, which offer gasoline-engine options, the Ioniq 5 is a dedicated battery-electric vehicle and is built using the equally dedicated Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It’s also the first of what will become a range of models, all using the Ioniq name (Hyundai’s Kia division has its own electric series, appropriately labeled EV).
