Description
Even if Volkswagen never puts its name on another Beetle, everyone would know the car just by looking at it. It is perhaps the most recognizable shape of all time. A rolling logo. Volkswagen ads also trumpeted the fact that the car changed very little from year to year. In an era of planned obsolescence in both function and design, few people could detect, for example, a 1958 Beetle from a 1959 version.
