With August approaching, the collector-car industry is poised for another round of mega-auctions. The action will come to a climax on Northern California’s tony Monterey Peninsula, where last year the sales of vintage and collectible vehicles hit a staggering $430 million, a whopping 38 percent increase over the $312 million record set in 2013.
