Description

Losing, whether for health reasons or to another competitor, was a bitter pill for Amato to swallow. During his lengthy career, he produced 57 national victories in a Top Fuel dragsters. Prior to entering the top division of drag racing, Amato, who actually began his racing career driving go karts at age 11, enjoyed considerable success in the lower classes of drag racing, most notably in the Top Alcohol and Pro Comp categories.

Talk about a patchwork quilt.
I expected some damage and then the corresponding bodywork to repair it, but our 1963 Corvette has had such extensive fiberglass reconstruction that had I known about it in the beginning, I wouldn’t have bought the car.
The motto here is simple: when you think you’re done sanding, sand some more.

Trying to fix a hood-clearance problem – with a new hood – leads to a whole lot of other problems. Great, more fiberglass work to do. Say, what car is this again? When the topic is fiberglass, most people assume that I’m referring to our 1963 Corvette project car, which is made – and has been remade – almost entirely of fiberglass.
Surprise, surprise, because as it turns out, our 1965 Mustang needed a little fiberglass work, too.

Description

From humble beginnings came great things.
Not everyone knows the story of how Studebaker became the symbol of an American industrial revolution in the late 1800s through to the mid-1950s. But everyone should. Studebaker’s tale is a microcosm of an era and an accurate representation of a movement. The last Studebaker would roll off the line in 1966, but not before cementing a proud tradition of 114 years in the wagon and automobile industry.
