Description
“His driving skills were really something the country could be very proud of,” legendary racer Jackie Stewart told BBC Radio Scotland.
McRae had 25 victories in 146 races to his credit, driving for Subaru, Citroen, Ford and Skoda. He became regarded as Britain’s most successful rally driver of his generation, earning millions of dollars a year under his contract with Ford. But he was as down to earth as they came.
