Description

The launch in September of the inaugural Formula E Championship series might have been the best kept secret in the history of motorsports, at least here in North America. But for the racing families and notable investors who have hitched their wagon and capital investment to all-electric auto racing, the first Formula E event in Beijing, China, couldn’t have made a bigger spark. At first glance, a Grand Prix style race with all-electric cars appears to be a progressive plan for elite racing competition that is both entertaining and carbon clean. But dig a little deeper and the many moving parts to this racing circuit smudge its eco-friendly message.
