The final numbers are in from August’s Monterey, Calif., collector-car auctions and, as expected, they were nothing short of breathtaking. When the dust settled from the five auctions conducted in conjunction with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, total sales hit a whopping $301.9 million.
\nThat’s an increase of 17 percent from 2012 and a staggering 52 percent increase from just two years ago. Clearly, whatever economic pressures may impact the middle-class, they aren’t being felt at the upper end of the economic spectrum.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
