The highly detailed McLaren MP4/4 model is made up of hundreds of parts that, when assembled, result in an authentic reproduction that can be displayed as a single unit, or with the engine and body removed.

The artisans at Weld House Metalworks repurpose old car and truck hoods and roofs of automobiles from the 1950s to the 1980s. The result is a wide variety of unique home and office furniture and accessories for sale. For truck-like dependability, the company’s line of coffee tables is constructed using steel tubing for the frames and legs. Weld House doesn’t respray the tabletops, it does apply a clear coat to protect the original patina.

The fiberglass body is copied from an actual post-1967 Type 2 bus, weighs 1,800 pounds (about 1,400 pounds less than an actual camper bus) and can be pulled by smaller vehicles. The basic 16-foot-long Dub Box Adventure Camper sells for $16,500.
